Kohlenstoffstahlbleche können je nach spezifischer Anwendung und Anforderungen mit verschiedenen Methoden geschweißt und verbunden werden. Hier sind einige gängige Schweiß- und Verbindungsmethoden für Kohlenstoffstahlbleche:
Abgeschirmtes Metalllichtbogenschweißen (SMAW): Beim SMAW, auch Stabschweißen genannt, wird eine mit Flussmittel beschichtete abschmelzende Elektrode verwendet. Die Elektrode wird manuell in die Verbindung eingeführt und die Flussmittelbeschichtung schmilzt, um Schutzgas bereitzustellen und das Schweißbad zu schützen. Gas-Metalllichtbogenschweißen (GMAW/MIG): Beim GMAW, allgemein bekannt als MIG-Schweißen (Metal Inert Gas), wird eine durchgehende Drahtelektrode verwendet, die durch eine Schweißpistole geführt wird. Zum Schutz des Schweißbades wird ein Schutzgas verwendet, typischerweise eine Mischung aus Argon und Kohlendioxid. GMAW ist eine schnelle und effiziente Schweißmethode, die für dünne bis mitteldicke Kohlenstoffstahlbleche geeignet ist.
Fülldrahtschweißen (FCAW): FCAW ähnelt dem GMAW, verwendet jedoch anstelle einer Massivdrahtelektrode einen mit Flussmittel gefüllten Rohrdraht. Das Flussmittel bietet sowohl Abschirmung als auch zusätzliche Legierungselemente für verbesserte Schweißeigenschaften. Gas-Wolfram-Lichtbogenschweißen (GTAW/TIG): GTAW, allgemein bekannt als WIG-Schweißen (Wolfram-Inertgas-Schweißen), verwendet eine nicht verbrauchbare Wolframelektrode zur Herstellung der Schweißnaht. Bei Bedarf kann ein separater Füllstab verwendet werden. Zur Abschirmung wird ein Inertgas, beispielsweise Argon, verwendet. GTAW erzeugt hochwertige, präzise Schweißnähte und wird häufig für dünne Kohlenstoffstahlbleche oder dann verwendet, wenn das Aussehen der Schweißnaht von entscheidender Bedeutung ist.
Widerstandspunktschweißen (RSW): RSW ist eine gängige Verbindungsmethode für Kohlenstoffstahlbleche, insbesondere für Automobil- und Fertigungsanwendungen. Laserschweißen: Beim Laserschweißen wird ein hochintensiver Laserstrahl verwendet, um lokalisierte Wärme zu erzeugen und die Kohlenstoffstahlbleche zu schmelzen. Das Laserschweißen bietet präzise Kontrolle, minimale Verformung und hohe Schweißgeschwindigkeiten. Es eignet sich für dünne bis mitteldicke Kohlenstoffstahlbleche.
Elektronenstrahlschweißen (EBW): EBW ist ein Hochenergieschweißverfahren, bei dem ein fokussierter Elektronenstrahl verwendet wird, um eine Verbindung zwischen Kohlenstoffstahlblechen herzustellen. Es erzeugt tiefe Schweißnähte mit schmalen Wärmeeinflusszonen. EBW wird üblicherweise für Präzisionsschweißanwendungen verwendet.
Reibrührschweißen (FSW): FSW ist ein Festkörperverbindungsprozess, bei dem ein rotierendes Werkzeug verwendet wird, um Reibungswärme zwischen den Kohlenstoffstahlblechen zu erzeugen. Das erhitzte Material wird dann gerührt und zu einer Schweißnaht zusammengeschmiedet. FSW wird üblicherweise für dickere Kohlenstoffstahlbleche oder in Anwendungen verwendet, bei denen minimale Verformung und hervorragende mechanische Eigenschaften erforderlich sind.
Hartlöten: Beim Hartlöten werden Kohlenstoffstahlbleche mit einem Zusatzwerkstoff verbunden, dessen Schmelzpunkt niedriger ist als der des Grundmetalls. Das Füllmetall wird über seinen Schmelzpunkt, aber unter den Schmelzpunkt der Kohlenstoffstahlbleche erhitzt, sodass es fließen und die Bleche miteinander verbinden kann. Hartlöten eignet sich für dünne Kohlenstoffstahlbleche und kann für starke und dichte Verbindungen sorgen.
